About Madeleine
Actor | writer | producer | lamda teacher
Madeleine Palander is a British-Swedish actor, writer, producer, and LAMDA coach who thrives on creating bold, witty, and physically charged work for stage and screen.
She graduated from GSA after earning a First-Class PPE degree from Durham University, where she received a drama scholarship and founded Woodplayers Troupe, taking original work to the Edinburgh Fringe. This commitment to new writing grew into the sell-out dark comedy Drop Dead, which she co-created and performed in before co-founding Blue Pears Productions. The company champions bold, collaborative work, with Madeleine now developing her one-woman play Fighting Weight.

As an actor, Madeleine has performed in both classical and contemporary theatre, including the world premiere of Mansfield Park at GSA, Maladies at the Orange Tree Theatre, and ★★★★★ work at the Edinburgh Fringe. Her screen work ranges from independent short films to collaborations with emerging filmmakers working as both an actor and production assistant on ‘Dys Is Me’ (directed by Stacha Hicks) to landing a lead role in the psychological thriller ‘I’m Thinking of Killing My Dad’ (directed by Joe Lynch).
With a background in boxing, skiing, and stage combat, Madeleine brings physicality, discipline, and play into her practice. She works in English and Spanish, with accents including RP, Standard American, and Yorkshire.
Beyond her stage and screen work, Madeleine has set up her own actor community, Act Up London, creating space for performers to connect, collaborate, and share opportunities. She is also a committed advocate for mental health, having hosted the NexGen Minds podcast, which platformed conversations with young creatives and change-makers.
Alongside her creative work, she is passionate about teaching and coaches students, drama school applicants, and professionals through LAMDA exams and audition prep.
